Plan for a short vacation? stay at homeland?
Erm... i'm not celebrate 1st Christmas with my loved bfee cause Christmas drop on Wednesday.. both of us no more leave =( so we just went had a advance dinner together with family member and went to malacca famous place "Portuguese village" to catch Christmas feel over there...

this is my 2nd time visit Portuguese Village although i'm Malacca-an cause heavy traffic if we go on Christmas eve having Christmas party there think i will be crazy stuck on the traffic.. but if you didnt go before you may try... if possible stay the hotel nearby so u will avoid the jam "tips for you" if you have motorbike i will suggest you ride over =)

the traffic is heavy on last saturday 21-12-2013, we park damn far away to walk into Portuguese village.. oh dear.. you definitely wont regret to visit there... the deco for each house a special and nice.. you can feel the Christmas smell is strong.. hahahaa...

very nice right.... some of the houses will open for you to visit and take photo.. 

 

erhm~~~　both of us able to take picture cause Alex meet his friend over there.. so we help them n he help us.. =)  i'm look fat but i love it "ours 1st Christmas photo

after tried to walk along the street.. end we reach the famous Portuguese Village seafood street.. if you hungry, you may try their seafood.. yummy..

but i Q-ing for the famous Mango Juice =)

 

Joes Only One Mango Juice... super nice =) you must try... is long Q but wont make you regret to Q for the juice...

tell you, this is my 1st try as well =( feel paiseh... cause i'm staying malacca 28 years but 1st try =(

 

they using fresh mango fruits and ice + sour plum.. no sugar or water added.. 

it is just RM2.5 each with ice and RM 4.00 without ice...

 

you must try ok if you visit Portuguese village 

remember to visit Malacca during Christmas season yea....

Happy Winter Solstice (冬至快乐)

 中国传统节日.....

冬至，是我国农历中一个非常重要的节气，也是一个传统节日， 至今仍有不少地方有过冬至节的习俗。冬至俗称“冬节”、“长至节”、“亚岁”等。早在二千五百多年前的春秋时代，我国已经用土圭观测太阳测定出冬至来了， 它是二十四节气中最早制订出的一个。时间在每年的阳历12月22日或者23日之间。
 
　　冬至是北半球全年中白天最短、黑夜最长的一天，过了冬至，白天就会一天天变长。古人对冬至的说法是：阴极之至，阳气始生，日南至，日短之至，日影长之 至，故曰“冬至”。冬至过后，各地气候都进入一个最寒冷的阶段，也就是人们常说的“进九”，我国民间有“冷在三九，热在三伏”的说法。

　　现代天文科学测定，冬至日太阳直射南回归线，阳光对北半球最倾斜，北半球白天最短，黑夜最长，这天之后，太阳又逐渐北移。
　　在我国古代对冬至很重视，冬至被当作一个较大节日，曾有“冬至大如年”的说法，而且有庆贺冬至的习俗。《汉书》中说：“冬至阳气起，君道长，故贺。” 人们认为：过了冬至，白昼一天比一天长，阳气回升，是一个节气循环的开始，也是一个吉日，应该庆贺。《晋书》上记载有“魏晋冬至日受万国及百僚称贺……其 仪亚于正旦。”说明古代对冬至日的重视。

　　现在，一些地方还把冬至作为一个节日来过。北方地区有冬至宰羊，吃饺子、吃馄饨的习俗，南方地区在这一天则有吃冬至米团、冬至长线面的习惯。各个地区在冬至这一天还有祭天祭祖的习俗。

Non-bake Orea Cheese Cake Recipe...

Over the weekend as requested by elder sister i had bake a Orea Cheese Cake...
super yummy... i love it more compare with Mango cheese cake as i did last month...
here to share ingredient with you guys... must try if you free.. easy & simple...

Chris' Orea Cheese Cake Recipe.. 

This recipe yields one 7" round cake 

OR a 16cm heart shaped cake with 3 - 4 mini cheesecakes

Cheese Cake Base...

180g digestive biscuits or Oreo Biscuits

80g unsalted butter, melted

2nd Layer- Cheese layer...

250g cream cheese, room temperature

75g castor sugar

250g plain yoghurt

100g water

2.5 tbsp gelatin

100g orea biscuits or more (if u like more)

prepare 250g Cream Cheese

180g for base and Oreo biscuit 100g mix into cheese mixture

 

180g digestive biscuit as base or orea (either one)

i choose Digestives biscuit as cheese cake base cause the taste will be more delicious not so sweet and can feel different taste...

Lets start......

Step 1....

prepare a bag or ziplock bag for the digestive biscuits or Orea biscuits

prepare 80g - unsalted butter (Melted butter)

seal up the bag and crush biscuits using a hard object...

once your biscuits are crumbly and sandy, pour in melted butter and mix it well

once biscuits mixture is ready it will resemble wet sand.

pour biscuits mixture into cake ring and compact it with hard object or flat object..

once biscuits mixture compacted pop it into freeze to set for 30min...

and get ready for 2nd layer...

prepare 250g  - cream cheese (From room temperature) 
75g - castor sugar or white sugar
250g - plain yoghurt (any brand)
100g - water (tap water)
2.5 tbsp - gelatin (any brand)
100g - Oreo (Crushed) can be more if you like






1) 100g water with 2.5 tbsp gelatin and mix well - pop into the Microwave oven to warm up on medium heat about 2min.
2) prepare 250g cream cheese and 75g castor sugar (mix it well on low speed still creamy) 
3) once cream cheese creamy add in gelatin mixture that has been cooled down to room temperature and mix it well on low speed.
4] add in 250g plain yoghurt - mix well on low speed
5] add in crushed Orea - mix well on low speed
6] take out the base from freeze and pour the cream mixture to the biscuit base and put into freeze for 1.30 hrs.

 COMPLETE

easy and simple to complete the Orea Cheese Cake... hope you guy like it...

mum request the base of biscuit must be thicken then the mango cheese.. so i thicken it...

Sardines Ayam Brand - New

recently my friend introduce me a website that collect brand new foodies and product...
i'm so happy that received free sample from Ayam Brand with new taste which extra virgin olive oil & green peppercorn.. 
at 1st we didnt dare to try it cause Olive oil & green peppercorn!!!!! eee... feel like~~~ ermm.. the end we tried it... we cook it together with onion.. wooww~~~ the taste delicious...

you may try it with my recipe... 

Sardines Ayam Brand (extra virgin olive oil & green peppercorn) + onion + lemon juice

i can promise you that the taste is so yummy..... but if you dislike oily foodies you may throw/ give away some olive oil so you wont feel oily when you eat with rice =)

You may try this and definitely will love it...

Mini Lego - Minion

Last week just brought this mini Lego from G-market Singapore...

the lego is cute but too small... lol

really crazy to build it... 

this lego not suitable for children below 10 years old...

but not really expensive... 

i brought two of three minion group...

Dave & Kelvin in my house... but i just finish build my Kelvin with 200++ pcs... 

it took me more then 2 hrs to build him =(

but it's fun.. you may try it... SGD $11.90 per each... love it so much....

but overall i love it so much... Dave just completed last sunday... but no photo yet..
